Katya Deakins, R.N.

Katya graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University, with honors. She began her nursing career working as a nurse tech in cardiac telemetry, orthopedics, trauma, and the pediatric emergency department. Upon obtaining her degree she worked as a nurse at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Pediatrics and Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care. In 2023, Katya joined the Sand Plastic Surgery Team in our new ambulatory surgery center. She has discovered a love for surgical nursing and our wonderful patient population.

In Katya’s free time she loves to surround herself with the important people in her life including her husband, family, and friends. On her best day she is at the lake with a good book and all of her favorite people.
