Otoplasty or ear reshaping can be a life-changing procedure.

Otoplasty techniques date back to the 5th century BC when injury to the ears was used for criminal punishment and they would sew one’s arm to their ear for weeks to transfer tissue to the site. Flash forward 2500 years and both our society and methods have dramatically improved and evolved. With these procedures, we can correct many ear concerns with a quick in-office procedure, followed by little downtime at all. The results are immediate, long-lasting and dramatic.

This patient never wore her hair up because she did not want to expose her upper ears which had a ‘lop ear’ abnormality. She underwent an otoplasty to reshape the top portion of her ear. Her results are shown 2 months later. She now wears her hair any way she wants without even thinking about it. No one would ever know her ears were prominent beforehand. We are so happy for her!
