Rhinoplasty Healing Progression

This patient is shown at her pre-op, at 3 weeks after surgery and then at 14 weeks after her surgery. The changes in the nose that happen in the profile are dramatic. Immediately after surgery the improved profile can be seen but the tip definition is poor. After several weeks of taping and healing, the nasal profile shows significantly more tip definition, and the supra-tip region begins to become more defined. Over the subsequent months she will have more changes, but I thought this was a great example of the adjustments that we see over time with the nose. It truly takes many months for a final result and the journey there is unique for all of our patients.
